What kind of Romana guy are you?
If you can classify people by their Romana preference, I’d have to say that these days I’m without a doubt a Romana #1 guy. I’m actually having a little trouble getting through all 6 parts of Doctor Who: The Armageddon Factor (1979) because I am so infatuated with that year’s version of actress Mary Tamm (in white at the right of this photo from wikipedia). I know I am not alone in my longing for at least that part of 1979 again. (Romana #2, played by Lalla Ward is at the left by Tom Baker, middle.)
29 years ago when I saw these episodes for the first time, I might have been a Romana #2 kinda guy. But The Armageddon Factor is reminding me how much I’ve changed over the years.
Well, back to it. 3 episodes to go. I must remain strong!
